Flying with Focus: Amanda Narula’s Leadership in Action

Eagles are known for their sharp vision, powerful presence, and ability to rise above the noise — and those same qualities define Amanda Narula’s leadership. When Amanda describes herself as an eagle, it’s not just a metaphor; it is a reflection of how she moves through the world with clarity, confidence, and care.

Her path to Southwind is just as inspiring as the way she leads. Born in Afghanistan, Amanda built her career across borders, eventually settling in Canada, where she spent five years working remotely for Flywheel. While she appreciated the flexibility of remote work, something shifted when she joined Southwind about a year ago. “What we do here is incredibly fulfilling by the end of each day.”It’s no surprise to anyone who knows her – Amanda brings a blend of quiet strength and deep awareness to every space she enters. She may not be the loudest in the room, but she’s always listening, always noticing what others might miss. And when she speaks, it’s with honesty, clarity, and care. “Being honest is the biggest gift you can give someone,” she says.

Amanda isn’t just part of Southwind, she’s woven into its story in a way few others can claim. Last year, she and her husband, Ajay, got married in the old Southwind HQ. With Josh Herron and Tyler Staszak as her official witnesses, her marriage license now bears their names and the address 9851 Widmer Road, making her, as she jokes, a "permanent fixture" at the company. She recalls the moment clearly:

April 21st, she asked Josh and Tyler to witness the wedding.
April 22nd, they said “I do” and by 9 a.m., Amanda was back in a team meeting.

That’s Amanda: present, grounded, and committed, even on her biggest days.

A proud Ravenclaw (yes, she loves Harry Potter), Amanda has a deep love for learning, travel, and exploration. She’s already traveled solo through Ireland for two weeks and visited Portugal, and dreams of seeing New Zealand, the ocean’s depths, or even space someday. Her curiosity doesn’t stop there. She’s passionate about the future of work — especially how AI can free people up to focus on what really matters, cutting through the noise of repetitive tasks to make space for creativity, strategy, and connection.

Amanda’s work at Southwind has stretched her more than any role before, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. “Never stop searching for excellence,” she says, a simple truth that guides her every day. It’s no surprise she was named to Ingram’s 40 Under 40, a well-earned recognition for someone who leads with integrity, vision, and a deep sense of purpose.

Amanda may not always seek the spotlight, but her leadership shines in every quiet conversation, every honest moment, and every person she lifts up along the way. She’s not just a leader at Southwind, she’s part of what makes it feel like a community.
